Capcom has recently introduced a new feature in *Monster Hunter Wilds* that allows players to customize their hunter and Palico appearances. The first edit comes at no cost, but for any further modifications, players must purchase Character Edit Vouchers. These vouchers can be bought in packs of three for $6, or you can opt for a combined set for both characters at $10. Without these vouchers, your customization options are limited to hairstyles, eyebrow color, makeup, and clothing, with no changes allowed to core facial features.

This monetization model was not mentioned during the initial previews of the game before its full release. Capcom only made the announcement last week through their social media platforms. Despite some controversy over microtransactions and performance hiccups, *Monster Hunter Wilds* has shattered records, boasting over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam at launch.
Capcom has not yet responded to the community's feedback on this new system. Players have voiced their dissatisfaction with the paid customization model, drawing unfavorable comparisons to earlier games in the series where such changes were either free or could be unlocked with in-game currency. Many in the fanbase believe this move detracts from what was traditionally seen as a core feature of the franchise.
