Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters
Rifts are rarely good news in games, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated title, Eerie Worlds, the follow-up to Cards, the Universe and Everything. This tactical CCG shifts the focus to monsters emerging from these rifts, offering a blend of fun and educational elements.
Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors.
The game boasts an impressive roster, encompassing creatures from diverse cultures. Encounter Japanese Yokai like the Jikininki and Kuchisake, and Slavic monsters such as the Vodyanoy and Psoglav. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others populate this global bestiary. Each card includes detailed, researched descriptions, enhancing the gameplay experience.
Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, adding significant tactical depth. Monsters may share some properties but differ in others, creating strategic complexity.
Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, is upgradeable by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 base cards, merging unlocks many more, with additional cards planned for the near future.
Avid Games has confirmed the addition of two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring continued engagement and replayability.
Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card. Battles unfold over nine 30-second turns, demanding strategic decisions regarding mana usage, synergy exploitation, and more.
Prepare for a challenging yet rewarding experience. Eerie Worlds is available now for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store. Download it here!
