Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, with a gameplay trailer released today, preceding his arrival for premium edition owners next week.
Conan's gameplay showcases a powerful, albeit less agile, fighting style. His strength and potentially wide-reaching sword attacks suggest a high-damage output, though his lack of speed could be a drawback. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander would be particularly intriguing to witness.
While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some other MK1 finishers. His acid-drowning technique, though effective, seems somewhat underwhelming in its presentation. However, the overall gameplay experience with Conan is expected to be entertaining, regardless of the fatality's impact.
Premium edition owners gain early access to Conan on Tuesday, while other players will need to wait until January 28th.
