NantGames has launched a fresh update for their hit RPG, MythWalker, introducing a groundbreaking co‑op feature named Tethering. For the first time in a location‑based RPG, you don't have to explore Mytherra on your own.
What Does the Tethering Feature Bring to MythWalker?
Tethering is a cooperative system that lets you tackle story quests, battle enemies, and collect resources as a team in MythWalker. It allows up to three players to join forces and adventure together, even if they are thousands of miles apart.
Everyone in the party sees and interacts with the same London‑based map in real time. This synchronous play is a major innovation for the genre, freeing you from being limited to your immediate surroundings and unlocking many new gameplay possibilities.
In addition to the co‑op features, a new enemy type has emerged: the Wyldevae. These fairy‑like beings appear enchanting and graceful, but they are cunning and surprisingly powerful.
Three kinds of Wyldevae are appearing across Mytherra. You'll find the moth‑like Bergavae in mountainous areas, the fish‑inspired Strandavae near islands, and the dragonfly‑themed Fennavae hiding in swamps.
Each type drops distinct items and abilities, encouraging you to hunt them all. New quests centered on these creatures let you uncover their origins and the reason for their sudden appearance.
Do You Play the Game?
If you haven’t tried MythWalker yet, here’s a brief overview. It’s a geolocation fantasy RPG for Android where you explore the real world to advance, or stay in and use Navigators with Portal Energy.
The game immerses you in Mytherra, a magical realm parallel to Earth. There, a mysterious entity known as The Child recruits you. She sends you on missions to discover who is attacking her world and to explore the deeper connections between Earth and Mytherra.
