Hotta Studios' Open-World RPG, Neverness to Everness, Launches Closed Beta in China
Hotta Studios, the creators of Tower of Fantasy, are gearing up for the first closed beta test of their new 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness. Unfortunately, this initial beta will be exclusive to mainland China.
Gematsu recently highlighted some newly revealed lore details, which shouldn't surprise anyone who's seen the stunning trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below). The game features a blend of humor and intrigue, showcasing a unique juxtaposition of the bizarre and the commonplace within the world of Hetherau.
While fitting within the established 3D open-world RPG genre's current trend toward urban settings, Neverness to Everness aims to stand out with unique features.
High-Octane Open-World Driving
A key differentiator is the inclusion of open-world driving! Players can enjoy the thrill of speeding through city streets, customizing and upgrading a variety of vehicles. However, be warned: crashes have realistic consequences.
Facing Stiff Competition
Upon release, Neverness to Everness will face strong competition from established titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy a similar genre space.
