Weapon damage in NieR: Automata varies with each swing. Upgrading reduces this damage variation while boosting potential damage per swing.
The Iron Pipe boasts the game's widest damage range but also offers exceptionally high potential damage. Its unpredictable nature makes it a gamble, but definitely worth acquiring and testing. Here's how:
How To Obtain the Iron Pipe in NieR: Automata
The Iron Pipe is a rare fishing reward found in sewers. Both sewers offer the same drop rate; the one near Resistance Camp is most accessible.
Fast travel to Resistance Camp, then head right towards the Amusement Park. After crossing the small gap, you'll find an open manhole under a highway.
Once in the sewer, fish in the water. Other junk items, sellable for money, may also be caught. There's no guaranteed method; obtaining the Iron Pipe might take seconds or minutes. Use your Pod's light to improve visibility in the dark sewer.
Another sewer is located on the route to the Flooded City.
