Nintendo Delays Japanese Alarmo Release Despite Global Availability

Nintendo has announced a delay in the Japanese retail release of its Alarmo alarm clock due to insufficient stock. The original February 2025 launch is postponed indefinitely.
Production Shortages Cause Delay

The postponement, revealed on the Nintendo Japan website, is attributed to current production and inventory challenges. While the global launch remains scheduled for March 2025, the impact on international stock levels is yet to be determined.
To address the immediate demand in Japan, Nintendo is implementing a pre-order system exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. This pre-order period is slated for mid-December, with shipments beginning in early February 2025. Specific pre-order dates will be announced shortly.
The Popular Nintendo Alarmo

Launched in October, the Alarmo, a gaming-themed alarm clock featuring sounds from popular Nintendo franchises (Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, RingFit Adventure, and more), quickly exceeded expectations. Initial online orders were halted, transitioning to a lottery system. Physical stock in Japanese and New York Nintendo stores completely sold out.
Further updates on pre-orders and the general release date will be shared as they become available.
