In addition to first-party titles, several third-party games are also set to receive Nintendo Switch 2 Editions. Notable mentions include Civilization 7, which will support mouse controls, and Street Fighter 6, which will feature exclusive game modes on the Switch 2.
The buzz about "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" games started last week with a subtle mention on a webpage related to the newly-announced Virtual Game Card system. The footnote indicated that these upgraded games would not be transferable via Virtual Game Card to the original Nintendo Switch.
