In Persona 5: The Phantom X, you'll step into the role of a new protagonist leading a fresh crew of Phantom Thieves. The game unfolds in a stylized version of modern-day Tokyo, filled with new palaces and mementos to explore. Alongside the thrilling narrative, the game retains the series' hallmark features such as turn-based combat, dual-life mechanics, and social simulation elements.
Players can also engage in a guild system and tackle the PvE mode known as Velvet Trials. Familiar characters from the original Persona 5 make appearances, adding a layer of nostalgia and continuity. The story begins with the protagonist awakening from a nightmare into a distorted reality, guided by a talking owl named Lefaye and the enigmatic Velvet Room crew, including the long-nosed man and his assistants.
