Niantic has revealed Ralts as the star Pokémon for January's Community Day Classic. This guide details the event, including bonuses and in-app purchases.
January's Community Day Classic: Ralts Takes Center Stage
On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), trainers will have a heightened chance of encountering Ralts, including its shiny form.
A special research story focused on Ralts is available for $2 USD. Completing this research unlocks rewards such as a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three Ralts encounters with unique Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.
Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within five hours afterward) yields a Gardevoir or Gallade possessing the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).
Timed Research offers additional rewards: 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter with a Dual Destiny-themed background. Unlike the main Community Day event, this research remains accessible for a week post-event.

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket will be available in the Pokémon GO Web Store starting January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time).
Two Community Day bundles will also be available in the in-game shop:
- 1,350 PokéCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5 Lucky Eggs
- 480 PokéCoins: 30 Ultra Balls, 1 Incense, 3 Super Incubators, 1 Lure Module
Pokémon GO's Recurring Monthly Community Day Classic
Niantic's monthly Community Day Classic features a different Pokémon each month. November 2024 highlighted Mankey. These events increase encounter rates for featured Pokémon (including shiny variants) and offer exclusive move evolutions. Bonuses like reduced egg hatching distances and XP boosts are also common.
December's Community Day Classic is a special two-day event featuring multiple Pokémon with increased shiny rates. Standard bonuses will also apply.
