Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops by reintroducing beloved nostalgic gadgets into the game. The festivities will kick off with a new event starting on May 1st, 2025, and you won't want to miss out on the fun!
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with a variety of charming decorations, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. To mark its 3.5th anniversary, the game is taking us back to the golden era of Nintendo with classic game consoles from the 80s and 90s.
Adding to the nostalgia, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced, paying homage to Nintendo's early days as a playing card manufacturer before venturing into video games. These cards are designed to reflect the style of Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.
The event will run from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving you an entire month to engage with the missions and collect these unique new Pikmin. Each time you complete an Event Challenge mission, you'll receive random rewards, including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also appear. Destroying these mushrooms will yield Mystery Boxes containing items like Game Button Cells, flower petals, and more. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are especially effective at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
May brings with it the opportunity to bloom beautiful flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses. You can achieve this by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There's also a nectar update, so the fruit from mushrooms during May will provide nectar for regular flowers and the special ones like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Alongside these updates, there are plenty of other exciting events, including Community Day. Be sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready to celebrate the 3.5th anniversary in style!
