Akupara Games has recently released a flurry of titles. Following their deck-building game, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a quirky puzzle adventure, along with its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both available now!).
Exploring Twin Lakes' Supernatural Side
The game opens on a misty, ominous night in Twin Lakes, a city where the bizarre and paranormal are everyday occurrences. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his endearingly inept partner, Officer Patrick Dooley, the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department.
Together, they tackle nine unique cases, each a bite-sized mystery within the hilariously strange world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel. Expect time travel, monstrous tentacles, carnival secrets, and even mafia zombies in these point-and-click adventures. See the action for yourself in the trailer below!
Ready to Investigate? ---------------------Packed with pop culture references from horror movies, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop films, the game's humor permeates every pixel. Case titles like "Malice in Wonderland," "Tome Alone," and "Don of the Dead" hint at the delightful absurdity within.
The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. Interestingly, you can jump straight into A Fumble in the Dark without playing the first game – find it on Google Play as well.
