Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Snake-Themed Mass Outbreak Event
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players are slithering into a new event! A Mass Outbreak featuring Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper is underway, celebrating the Year of the Snake. This limited-time event, running from January 9th to 12th, offers increased Shiny encounter rates for these serpentine Pokémon.
This event follows closely on the heels of a Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid event that concluded 2024's Year of the Dragon. While Rayquaza is obtainable via the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, the boosted Shiny rate in the raid made it a highly sought-after opportunity.
The Snakelike Mass Outbreak, confirmed by Serebii.net, began on January 9th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time and ends January 12th at 6:59 PM Eastern Time. Expect to find Silicobra across Paldea, Ekans in Kitakami, and Seviper in the Terarium. Pokémon levels will range from 10 to 65, depending on game progression. Remember to connect to the internet, access the Poke Portal via the in-game menu, and select "Get Poke Portal News" to activate the event.
