Earlier today, Iwan shared details about Rookidee's role in August's Community Day. Now, we have even more significant news—both in scale and impact. The previously announced Pokémon Go Fest 2025: Max Finale will take place on August 23rd and 24th.
Let me quickly explain what this means, starting with the main attraction. For the first time globally, the Legendary Eternatus from Pokémon Sword and Shield will appear, giving all players the opportunity to catch this colossal Pokémon.
That was a brief overview. Now, back to the event details. On August 23rd and 24th, a series of Gigantamax Pokémon will appear consecutively, introducing one of Pokémon Go's most demanding challenges to date. The Max Raids will feature Gigantamax Toxtricity, Butterfree, Snorlax, Gengar, and Lapras.

They're kind of a big deal
A special Pokémon Go promo code is also available to all players. Enter GOFESTMAX before August 3rd to unlock a Timed Research quest that concludes with an encounter featuring your choice of three Gigantamax Pokémon: Cinderace, Rillaboom, or Inteleon. While technically you get to choose, let's be honest—you're picking Rillaboom, right? Make sure to complete the research by August 24th to avoid missing out.
