The launch of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket was met with excitement, but it quickly faced challenges with its trading system. Initially, the trading feature was criticized for requiring hard-to-obtain currency and imposing numerous restrictions on trades. However, a new update aims to address these issues and enhance the trading experience.
The most significant change is the complete removal of Trade Tokens. Players will no longer need to exchange cards to acquire currency for trading. Instead, trading cards of three-diamond, four-diamond, and one-star rarity will now require Shinedust. This new currency is earned whenever you open a booster pack and receive a card that's already registered in your Card Dex.
For those who currently own Trade Tokens, there's good news: these can be converted into Shinedust. Given that Shinedust is also necessary for obtaining flair, further modifications to its system are planned. Additionally, an upcoming update will introduce an in-game function allowing players to share cards they're interested in trading.
Trading Spaces
As previously mentioned, the initial implementation of trading seemed somewhat half-hearted. The digital ecosystem of the game necessitates more restrictions than physical trading to prevent abuse, which has been a significant hurdle. While these changes are promising, they won't be implemented until at least autumn, leaving players waiting through the spring and summer. This slow pace of addressing the issues has left many fans wishing for a quicker resolution.
