The Battle of Polytopia's Aquarion Tribe Receives a Massive Update! Midjiwan Studios has unveiled a significant rework of the Aquarion Tribe, originally introduced in 2017. This update completely transforms the gameplay experience.
Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation
The Aquarion land units now boast mermaid tails, making them amphibious and granting them effortless water traversal, although land movement remains slower. This update introduces flooded terrain, allowing both land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.
Buildings now seamlessly integrate with the aquatic environment, constructible directly on water. Lost Cities, found within deep-sea ruins, offer strategic advantages for water-based warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, now a permanent feature, function similarly to land-based crops.
New Aquatic Creatures Join the Fray
Prepare to encounter new sea creatures! Sharks provide surprise attacks, Puffers offer long-range bombardments, and Jellies unleash electric shocks on opponents. Returning favorites include the Tridentions and Crabs, the latter now flooding tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. See the action in the trailer below!
