Attention all fans of the iconic James Bond series, especially those who cherish the classic GoldenEye experience—it's time to rally! IO Interactive has exciting news: their upcoming James Bond game, titled Project 007, is set to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch 2.
According to IO Interactive's official website, Project 007 will dive into an entirely new narrative within the James Bond universe. The game promises to immerse players into the role of the world's most celebrated Secret Agent, as they embark on their journey to earn the coveted 00 status. This game introduces players to the very first origin story of James Bond, offering a fresh take on the legendary spy's beginnings.
In an exclusive interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's head, Hakan Abrak, shared his enthusiasm for crafting a brand new origin story for the beloved character. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he emphasized. Abrak highlighted the project's potential to evolve into a significant trilogy and introduced a new Bond character, designed specifically for gamers. "It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with," he added.
