The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first major international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year. Over 90,000 competitors are vying for a piece of the $500,000 prize pool. Open Qualifiers, which began February 13th, provide a platform for aspiring talent to showcase their skills and compete for a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event in April.
This tournament, exclusively open to amateur teams, guarantees fresh faces in the competitive landscape. Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Upcoming weeks will see intense battles as teams fight for a place in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will emerge from the Prelims to challenge the PUBG Mobile elite in the Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event berths based on their impressive PMGC 2024 performances. Four more will join them, qualifying through regional competitions like the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
