Rainbow Six Siege Showcase Set for March 2025
Rainbow Six Siege, a nine-year-old Ubisoft title, is set to receive major gameplay improvements and refinements under the name Rainbow Six Siege X. Ubisoft announced the reveal on February 17, 2025, with further details to be shared in March 2025.
The Rainbow Six Siege X showcase will take place on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT in Atlanta, Georgia, presenting the substantial changes planned for the game. "This event promises an immersive and unique Siege experience, bringing together players, creators, and developers as we unveil the evolutions coming with Siege X, along with many surprises!"
To attend the event in person, participants must purchase a $10 ticket, which includes an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack. However, interested fans must meet these three eligibility criteria:
⚫︎ Must be a legal resident of the USA or Canada
⚫︎ Must be at least 18 years old
⚫︎ Must have a valid Rainbow Six Siege account (not banned or sanctioned)
Ubisoft is also offering VIP packages to two lucky Rainbow Six fans, covering "hotel accommodations, roundtrip flights, and entry to the Showcase event!" This giveaway is also restricted to legal residents of the USA and Canada.
The upcoming update will introduce "new ways to play, deeper tactical gameplay, refined controls, and comprehensive upgrades." Specific details about these changes will be shared during the showcase.
Rainbow Six Siege Approaches Its 10th Anniversary
Rainbow Six Siege originally launched on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In 2020, the game was ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Over the years, Ubisoft has released numerous updates, establishing it as one of the longest-running live-service shooter games across platforms. The upcoming major update could further extend the Rainbow Six franchise's lifespan.
In a Steam post on February 17, 2025, Ubisoft also introduced a new operator, Aurora, who can deploy bulletproof doors. Additionally, the game will release a new elite skin for operator Aruni and a reputation system that rewards or penalizes players based on their in-game behavior each season. These additions will arrive in Season 1 of its 10th year, Operation Prep Phase, on March 4, 2025, celebrating the game's 10th anniversary.
Given the launch date of Season 10 and the timing of the Rainbow Six Siege X showcase, it appears the major upgrades will be rolled out to live servers at a later date.
