Bluepoch Games celebrated the anniversary of Reverse: 1999 with a special livestream, unveiling the upcoming Version 2.8 update featuring beautifully animated L2D chibi models for new units. Titled Paradise Regained, this update commemorates the game's second anniversary.
Events Span Late September Through October
Paradise Regained introduces four new 6-star characters to Reverse: 1999. Leading the Anniversary Limited Banner, "The Myth at Her Fingertips," is Nautika, who arrives with two distinct forms, each equipped with unique skills.
Additionally, players who log in during the anniversary period will receive Urich for free. First appearing in version 1.9, Urich leads the Laplace cryptography team and is an awakened ferrofluid contained within a glass tank.
Phase 2 brings Moldir, a lieutenant from the Former Zeno Sentinel Unit. She is a soldier caught between her sense of duty and personal emotions, often found watching enemy ships on the horizon. Watch the preview video below.

Beyond these, two free 5-star characters are also joining the game. Matilda will be obtainable simply by logging in during Version 2.8, while Buddy Fairchild, a squirrel companion, can be acquired through the Against the Flood event.
Abundant Anniversary Rewards in Paradise Regained
All players receive 30 free summons, with new players eligible for up to 100 summons plus a selectable 6-star character. A free 6-star portrait from the standard pool is also available, alongside another selectable 6-star via the Timely Reinforcements event from Version 2.7.
The update also introduces multiple new gameplay modes. Pre-Storm Protocol runs from September 19th to October 30th, 2025, challenging players to gather resources, fight off enemies, and avoid Storm Syndrome contamination in an exploration-survival format.
Critter Crash makes a return with new content available between September 25th and October 30th, 2025. To experience all the new modes and events, download Reverse: 1999 from the Google Play Store.
