Baldur's Gate 3 offers a rich tapestry of romance options, yet some encounters are easy to overlook. Among these hidden gems is the intriguing encounter with Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress. This brief yet captivating romance is often missed due to its timing during a hectic part of the game. Let's dive into how to find and romance Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3.
Where to Find Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
### Visit Sharess' Caress in Act III:
To encounter Naoise, you'll need to reach the early stages of Act III. As you journey towards Baldur's Gate, you'll pass through Wyrm's Crossing. On your initial visit, you're required to meet Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a local brothel located on the eastern side of the bridge leading into Baldur's Gate.
If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, you can use the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing fast-travel point, which will transport you directly to the front porch of Sharess' Caress.
Look for Nymph's Grotto:
Naoise awaits in the Nymph's Grotto, a secluded chamber on the second floor, accessible through a door leading to the outside area. The door is marked by a green light and ivy-covered walls, and while it's locked, a successful lock-pick roll of 10 or higher will grant you entry.
How to Romance Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
### Interact with Naoise:
Upon entering, approach the bed where you'll find Naoise engaged with Jara, a Flaming Fist soldier, in an intimate moment. Jara will be displeased with your interruption, and as she speaks, a tadpole in her head interacts with yours. Confronted about this, you can respond with:
- "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."
Jara mentions the Absolute and then transforms into a Mindflayer. After defeating her, Naoise's attention shifts to you, expressing her fascination with Mindflayers. You can then say:
- "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."
A successful Insight check reveals Naoise's readiness for romance. When asked about the Mindflayer, opt for:
- "That creature aroused you, didn't it?"
Avoiding judgmental responses, Naoise admits to her anticipation for the Mindflayer but suggests another 'flavor' might do. To proceed to the romance scene, choose:
- "What did you have in mind?"
- "Close your eyes and listen"
This unique romantic encounter unfolds entirely in your mind. Naoise prompts you to choose what you will be, offering options like:
- Revered
- Contented
- Powerful
- Rich
- I think we're done here.
Selecting 'Contented' leads to a brief romance scene. After the encounter, Naoise loses interest, stating she can offer 'rapture' only once. Interestingly, even if your character is involved with someone like Karlach, this encounter doesn't seem to affect those relationships negatively.
Shadowheart will grant you the 'Carnal Rituals of Sharess' inspiration point following the encounter.
Upon successfully romancing Naoise, you'll receive the Rapture boon, granting a passive 1d6 bonus to nearly all ability checks.
