After much anticipation and swirling rumors, Activision has finally dropped the debut trailer for the highly anticipated remake: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.
Iron Galaxy Studios, taking the reins from Vicarious Visions (the team behind the acclaimed THPS 1 + 2 remake), is leading the development. This updated version promises to thrill fans with significantly enhanced graphics, the much-requested addition of online multiplayer, and a fresh roster of playable characters, including skateboarding legends Rayssa Leal, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome. The recently released trailer gives us a tantalizing glimpse of beloved locations like Airport, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, all beautifully reimagined using cutting-edge technology. A compelling side-by-side graphic comparison in the trailer showcases the dramatic visual upgrade.
Skateboarding icons Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, and Rodney Mullen return to reprise their roles. While some original characters are returning, it appears Bam Margera will be absent from this iteration. For those who snag the Digital Deluxe Edition, exclusive playable characters—the Doom Slayer and Revenant—await. Adding to the nostalgic charm, developers have confirmed the return of a portion of the original soundtrack, featuring iconic tracks from Motorhead, Gang Starr, and CKY.
Get ready to drop in! These remastered classics launch July 11th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Pre-ordering grants access to a demo in June, plus a three-day early access head start before the official release.
