Slothwerks, the creative indie developer known for the Meteorfall series, is set to captivate fans once again with their latest offering, Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble. Pre-registration for this eagerly anticipated card battler is now open on Android, marking the third installment in the series following Meteorfall (2017) and Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale (2019). The game is scheduled for release next month, promising to bring more of the series' signature charm and innovation.
What’s the Setting?
Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble takes players into the thrilling world of a roguelike deckbuilder. The gameplay is designed for fast-paced matches where victory comes from creatively bending the rules rather than strictly adhering to them. Players will engage in card battles, aiming to impress a bloodthirsty audience. You'll assemble a squad of three heroes from a selection of eight, each bringing their unique deck to the fray.
With over 200 cards at your disposal, the game offers extensive customization options through layered upgrades during your run. The inclusion of Wild Cards allows you to defy traditional combat rules, enabling you to perform spectacular feats in battle to earn powerful buffs.
In between these intense battles, you'll find yourself in Bramble Town, a hub where you'll face critical decisions. Should you focus on enhancing your deck, training your team, or perhaps exploring the town's oddities?
Pre-Registration for Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble Is Now Live
Originally announced as Bramble Royale, the game underwent a name change to Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble to clarify its identity and distance itself from battle royale genre assumptions. This rebranding cleverly ties the new game back to the beloved Meteorfall universe, instantly recognizable to fans.
