The Sony Bravia XR X93L, released in March 2023, stands as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup, only surpassed by the X95L, which was exclusively available in an 85" screen size in the U.S. The X93L leverages Mini LED technology, which significantly enhances HDR content. The LED-backlit panels, as the name suggests, feature an array of LEDs that can independently turn on and off, thereby improving black levels and contrast ratios. In a Mini-LED setup, the LEDs are smaller and more numerous, allowing for even finer control of brightness within scenes.
The X93L is also an excellent choice for gamers. It comes equipped with four HDMI ports, two of which support HDMI 2.1 specifications. HDMI 2.1 enables 4K output at up to 120Hz refresh rate, ideal for current-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
