A Massive Roster of Iconic Characters
Featuring a diverse cast of characters from the Sonic and Sega universes, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds boasts an impressive lineup. While the full roster remains under wraps, the official website confirms 23 characters at launch, with more to come. The revealed characters include Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Team Riders (Jet, Wave, Storm), the Deadly Six (Zavok, Zazz), Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge, E-123 Omega), Dr. Eggman, his creations (Egg Pawn, Metal Sonic), Team Chaotix (Vector, Charmy, Espio), and even Blaze, Silver, Cream, and Big.
Dynamic Racing Across CrossWorlds
Prepare for a revolutionary racing experience! Travel Rings transport racers between diverse CrossWorlds in real-time, transforming the race with each jump. These vibrant environments, described as "theme park-like" experiences, feature unique obstacles, giant monsters, and stunning scenery. Expect dynamic tracks inspired by Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, constantly evolving throughout each lap, demanding adaptability and skill. The game will feature 24 main tracks and 15 CrossWorlds.
Extensive Customization and Power-Ups
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds offers unparalleled vehicle customization. Players can personalize their vehicles extensively, tweaking everything from body parts and wheels to colors and glow effects. Add to this a selection of 23 gadgets to fine-tune racing strategies and 45 unique vehicles, including the return of Extreme Gear hoverboards for a boost-focused racing style. Takashi Iizuka, Sonic Creative Officer, calls it "a great culmination of all the Sonic Racing series games to date."
