Radiangames has unveiled Speed Demons 2, a thrilling side-scrolling highway racer that draws inspiration from the iconic arcade racing series, Burnout, both in its striking visual style and its adrenaline-pumping gameplay. Originally launched on mobile platforms, the sequel is now being developed for PC and is slated for release later this year.
The developers have innovated on the control scheme, emphasizing movement over traditional steering. Players will utilize gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, while using the analog stick or mouse to move up and down to navigate their vehicle's direction. According to the team, "It sounds unusual, but it's immediately intuitive once you start playing."

Speed Demons 2 promises an array of engaging game modes that resonate with Burnout fans. Among the ten modes are Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage, which echo Burnout's Road Rage by challenging players to demolish other vehicles within a set time frame. Another mode, Scratchless, mirrors Burnout's Burning Lap, urging players to reach the finish line with minimal vehicle damage.
