Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, is considering a PC port of the PS5 exclusive action-adventure title. While no firm release date has been announced due to contractual obligations with publisher Sony, recent statements from the CEO and CFO suggest a PC version is highly likely.
Stellar Blade's April release was a significant success, topping US sales charts and receiving an 82 average rating on OpenCritic. This strong performance, along with the growing PC gaming market (as noted by Shift Up's CFO), fuels the interest in a PC port. The developer's financial report even mentioned exploring both a sequel and a PC release.
This potential move aligns with Sony's strategy of eventually bringing its exclusives to PC, as evidenced by the upcoming PC release of God of War: Ragnarok.
While Shift Up focuses on optimization for the PS5 version (recent updates introduced some graphical glitches, which are being addressed), the possibility of a Stellar Blade PC port remains strong. The company's positive outlook on the IP’s value with a PC release further strengthens this expectation.
