Nightdive Studios has unveiled a refreshed title for their modernized version of the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG classic. Previously known as System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, the game will now launch as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, and will also be available on Nintendo Switch.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will soon be available on Windows PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The official synopsis:
The year is 2114. Awakening from cryo-sleep aboard the FTL vessel Von Braun, you find yourself suffering from amnesia, and disaster has struck. Hybrid mutants and lethal robots prowl the ship's corridors, their cries echoing through the cold metal. SHODAN, a malevolent AI determined on humanity's annihilation, has seized control. Your mission: stop her. Explore the decaying Von Braun, deck by deck, uncovering the horrifying fate of the crew and the ship itself, and immerse yourself in the richly detailed narrative and environment.
Nightdive Studios announced that a release date and a new trailer will be revealed during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025.
