Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action game, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this martial arts brawler is set to launch in 2025, with a pre-alpha test slated for January.
Based on the popular webcomic, The Hidden Ones transports players to modern-day China, following the journey of young martial artist Zhang Chulan. His grandfather's seemingly ordinary martial arts techniques are revealed to be highly sought after, thrusting him into a world of intense conflict.
The recently released gameplay trailer (see below) showcases impressive visuals and action sequences, including the introduction of secondary protagonist Wang Ye. Expect fast-paced parkour, dynamic 3D combat, energy projectile exchanges, and thrilling brawls.

A Darker, Grittier Take on Kung Fu
Uncovering information about The Hidden Ones has proven challenging, given the game's multiple title changes. However, initial impressions suggest a visually striking title from Morefun Studios. The game's darker, grittier aesthetic sets it apart from other 3D ARPGs, offering a more grounded feel.
The game's success will hinge on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material. However, the blend of parkour and intense martial arts combat promises a unique and engaging experience.
