UPDATE (1/19/25) - After a brief period of being inaccessible, TikTok has resumed its services in the U.S.
In a statement posted on X/Twitter, TikTok announced, "In collaboration with our service providers, TikTok is actively restoring service. We express our gratitude to President Trump for the clarity and assurance provided to our service providers, ensuring they face no penalties for continuing to offer TikTok to more than 170 million Americans, and supporting over 7 million small businesses to flourish."
"This is a significant affirmation of the First Amendment and a stand against arbitrary censorship. We are committed to working with President Trump to develop a long-term solution that ensures TikTok's continued presence in the United States."
