This week marks a significant milestone for players as they can evolve their Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike. To unlock Single Strike, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For Rapid Strike, you'll need to take down 30 Water-types in the same manner during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.
Alongside the evolution opportunity, a Special Research continues the ongoing Seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, players will enjoy several bonuses: the distance required to earn Max Particles will be reduced to one-fourth the normal amount, the Max Particle storage cap will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Additionally, you'll earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and receive two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon's damage. Using multiple Max Mushrooms can extend the duration of this effect, although the power boost remains consistent.
