Pokémon NO LIMIT! Summer Splash Parade Hits USJ
Use ‘Water Gun’ in Real Life
The Pokémon Company and Universal Studios Japan are elevating their successful partnership with the introduction of the NO LIMIT! Summer Splash Parade. This innovative event builds upon the original NO LIMIT! Parade by introducing a refreshing water-focused theme that promises to soak up the summer fun.
The collaboration between these two entertainment giants kicked off in 2021 with a commitment to forge a "creative alliance." Their goal? To develop new interactive entertainment that combines innovative technology with extraordinary creativity. The NO LIMIT! Parade was the first major outcome of this partnership, showcasing floats of beloved Pokémon characters like Charizard and Pikachu parading around the park. This year, the parade evolves into a fully immersive water experience.
According to The Pokémon Company's website, they've gone to great lengths to "make the featured Pokémon as ‘true-to-life’ as possible." A prime example is Gyarados' debut at USJ, where three performers synchronize their movements to deliver a performance reminiscent of a dragon dance, capturing the Pokémon’s fierce nature.
The parade promises to soak guests not only with water from Pokémon but also from cherished characters from Super Mario, Despicable Me, Sesame Street, Peanuts, and Sing. But guests aren't just passive spectators waiting to get drenched; they're active participants in the fun. On especially hot days, they can head to the "360° Soak Zone," where they can engage in a constant downpour with family, friends, and parade performers. While personal water guns are prohibited, guests receive a complimentary Water Shooter upon entering this special zone.
Beyond the parade, guests can further immerse themselves in the world of Pokémon with exclusive merchandise and food offerings. One highlight on the menu is the "Gyarados Whirling Smoothie – Soda & Pineapple," served in cups featuring the Park’s largest sleeve ever, adorned with a bold and powerful depiction of Gyarados. Additionally, the theme park promises to serve food and drinks that are "ideal for the summer season."
The parade commenced on July 3 and will continue until September 1. However, the 360° Soak Zone will only be available until August 22. Whether it's your first visit or a return trip, The Pokémon Company assures guests that "every visit will be amazingly exciting, deeply moving, and always memorable."
