Android users rejoice! Genshin Impact is finally getting controller support! The long-awaited feature arrives with Version 5.5, launching March 26th, 2025. This is great news, especially considering iOS users gained this functionality back in 2021.
Genshin Impact Android Controller Support: Arrival Date
Starting March 26th, 2025, you can ditch the touchscreen and explore Teyvat with a controller. Version 5.5 will officially support the DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2—all requiring Bluetooth connectivity.
Version 5.5: More Than Just Controllers
Beyond controller support, Version 5.5 brings several quality-of-life improvements. Cross-scene quest tracking allows seamless navigation across different areas; simply open the map and teleport directly to your objective. Boss guides are getting an overhaul to better assist new players in understanding enemy mechanics. Further optimizations are planned for the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system; full details will be revealed during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
