Summary
World of Warcraft players can now find Alyx, the key to unlocking the Detective title, in Dornogal. This Lightforged Draenei NPC continues to accept the missing Celebration Crates, allowing players to complete the associated mystery questline and earn the Detective title even after the anniversary event has ended. Locating all 11 crates is the key to obtaining this title and unlocking the quest for the elusive Felcycle mount.
World of Warcraft's 20th-anniversary event has concluded, removing many celebratory activities and NPCs. However, Alyx, responsible for the Guest Relations mystery questline, remains accessible. Relocated to the hot springs northwest of Dornogal's Delver's Headquarters, Alyx retains their clue board, guiding players to the 11 hidden Celebration Crates scattered throughout the world.
Finding all 11 crates and returning them to Alyx in Dornogal rewards players with the Crate Insurance Agent, No Crate Left Behind, and Azeroth's Greatest Detective achievements, most importantly granting the Detective title. This title is crucial for initiating the mystery quest that leads to the Incognitro Felcycle mount.
Earning the Detective Title After the WoW Anniversary
- Locate Alyx and their clue board in Dornogal. They're situated between the Delver's Headquarters and the stairs to Foundation Hall.
- Follow the clues on Alyx's board to find the 11 missing Celebration Crates. Note: Players need level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests but must reach level 68 to access Dornogal.
- Return six crates for the Crate Insurance Agent achievement, and all 11 for No Crate Left Behind, Azeroth's Greatest Detective, and the coveted Detective title.
While the Incognitro mount quest remains accessible post-anniversary, the Detective title's requirement to begin the quest in Dornogal was a concern. Alyx's relocation ensures players can obtain this title and access the mount indefinitely. Unfortunately, other Guest Relations quests and their associated rewards, including the Thinking Cap transmog, are no longer obtainable due to their reliance on the now-removed event grounds. The possibility of future additions or alternative ways to obtain these rewards remains uncertain.
