World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. Get ready for a nostalgic journey through WoW's history, with a chance to earn fantastic rewards.
This extended event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players can once again earn Timewarped Badges, a significant experience buff, and conquer the challenging Timewalking dungeons. Completing four dungeons unlocks the Mastery of Timeways buff—a 20% experience boost.
The Grand Timewalking Tour:
This year's Turbulent Timeways event features a chronological journey through WoW expansions:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards Galore:
Achieving Mastery of Timeways for at least five of these seven weeks grants the coveted "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, rewarding players with the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors across all expansions boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Players who missed the Sandy Shalewing pet from the previous event can also snag it this time around. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest yields Heroic-level gear throughout the event's duration.
A Busy Start to 2025:
With the recent 20th-anniversary event concluding (which also included 11 weeks of Timewalking), players will have experienced a remarkable 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking adventures. The Turbulent Timeways event's end date (February 24th) hints at future WoW plans. Considering Blizzard's typical release schedule and the holiday season, February 25th is a strong contender for the launch of Patch 11.1, "Undermined," ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With the second run of Plunderstorm and the first major content update for The War Within following closely behind, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025.
