Warframe, Digital Extremes’ multiplayer action-shooter RPG, debuted on iOS in February 2024. More than a year after its initial release, the game opened pre-registrations for Android—and now, Warframe is preparing for its first Android closed beta. Finally!
What do we know about the Warframe Android Closed Beta?
The announcement dropped on Day 2 of TennoCon 2025. The beta is set to launch in Fall 2025. Like the previous iOS beta, Digital Extremes will send invitations to the email tied to your Warframe account.
If you don’t have a Warframe account yet, create one now. Visit the official site to sign up or pre-register for the game.
Once you’re in the closed beta, you’ll experience the full Warframe adventure. Controller support is confirmed for numerous devices—Bluetooth gamepads like the DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller, plus USB options such as the Razer Kishi and Backbone.
There are some restrictions, though. Cross-platform play and voice chat won’t be available during the beta. And unlike the main Warframe release, the Android closed beta will have no in-app purchases.
When testing ends, all progress will be erased—nothing you do in the beta will carry over to the full mobile launch.
Excited for Warframe on Android?
First revealed in 2021 for mobile, Warframe is a third-person shooter with five expansions and over 30 story-driven missions. You’ll unlock more than 57 Warframes and explore a vast, interconnected solar system—all free to play.
You can pre-register now via the Google Play Store. Doing so unlocks the Cumulus Collection when you log in after the Android release.
