Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2: A DRM-Free Experience
No Microtransactions, Either!

In a recent FAQ, Saber Interactive confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, launching September 9th, will not utilize DRM software like Denuvo. This decision comes as many gamers express concerns about DRM's potential negative impact on game performance. While DRM aims to prevent piracy, past instances, such as Capcom's use of Enigma DRM in Monster Hunter Rise, have shown how it can negatively affect compatibility and modding capabilities.
While the game will be DRM-free, Saber Interactive clarified that Easy Anti-Cheat will be implemented on PC to combat cheating. Easy Anti-Cheat has faced scrutiny in the past, notably during an Apex Legends tournament.
Currently, official mod support is not planned. However, players can still anticipate exciting features including a PvP arena, horde mode, and a comprehensive photo mode. Importantly, Saber Interactive has assured players that all gameplay content will be free, with microtransactions and DLC limited to cosmetic items only.
