Insomniac Games Remains Silent on Marvel's Wolverine Release Date
Insomniac Games recently shared its future plans, but notably withheld any updates on the highly anticipated Marvel's Wolverine. While the studio acknowledged its ambitious roadmap and new projects, Co-Head Chad Dezern emphasized a commitment to current titles, declining to comment on a rumored 2025 release for Wolverine. The statement highlights the studio's focus on maintaining secrecy regarding the game's development.

Wolverine's Development History and Shared Universe
Initially unveiled at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase with a cinematic trailer, Marvel's Wolverine is confirmed for PlayStation 5. Subsequent comments from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Creative Director, Bryan Intihar, confirmed the game's shared universe with Spider-Man, stating both exist within the same continuity ("1048"). Despite the simultaneous announcements, and fan anticipation for crossovers, only a Wolverine-themed suit in Spider-Man 2 has materialized as a direct link. A significant security breach in December 2023 briefly exposed Wolverine's development assets to the public.

Insomniac's Current Projects and Future Plans
With Marvel's Spider-Man 2 launching on PC January 30th, 2025 (as announced at New York Comic-Con 2025), Insomniac confirmed no further DLC is planned. The PC version will however, include all post-release updates for the PS5 version. Two editions will be available: Standard and Digital Deluxe, the latter offering exclusive suits. Currently, Marvel's Wolverine remains Insomniac's only publicly confirmed project in active development.
