One such event, the Turbulent Timeways, originally introduced during a content lull in Dragonflight, has made a thrilling return, bringing with it a unique reward for those who master the art of time manipulation.
Turbulent Timeways Event Explained
Unlike the usual spread-out schedule of weekly Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways packs a punch with five consecutive Timewalking events from January 1 to February 25. Each week introduces a fresh set of Timewalking dungeons from various expansions, following this exciting lineup:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (1/07 to 1/14)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (1/14 to 1/21)
- Week 3: Legion (1/21 to 1/28)
- Week 4: Classic (1/28 to 2/04)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (2/04 to 2/11)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (2/11 to 2/18)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (2/18 to 2/25)
Each Timewalking Dungeon you conquer earns you a stack of the Knowledge of Timeways buff, which lasts for two hours and doesn't vanish upon death. This buff boosts your experience gain by five percent from both monster kills and quest completions. Achieve four stacks, and the buff evolves into the powerful Mastery of Timeways, lasting three hours and amplifying your experience gain to a whopping 30%. Both buffs refresh their timers upon completing another Timewalking Dungeon, ensuring continuous progression.
To harness the full power of Mastery of Timeways, you must accumulate four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Staying active is key; avoid long periods of inactivity to prevent losing your stacks. If Knowledge of Timeways expires before reaching four stacks, you'll need to start anew.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling benefits of the Mastery of Timeways buff, the event offers enticing rewards that add to its allure. One such reward is the Sandy Shalewing mount, available for purchase from Timewalking Vendors at a cost of 5,000 Timewarped Badges. This mount, a beloved prize from the previous Turbulent Timeways event during Dragonflight, makes a welcome return.
Adding to the excitement, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, awaits those who can achieve the Mastery of Timeways buff in five out of the seven weeks that Turbulent Timeways runs. This challenge not only tests your dedication but also rewards your perseverance with a unique and timely addition to your mount collection.
