Rinascita offers numerous intriguing puzzles, including the challenging Morph Paintings. These paintings are integral to two puzzle types: Overflowing Palettes and straightforward restoration tasks.
Morph Painting restoration puzzles are relatively simple yet rewarding, providing valuable resources like Astrites in Wuthering Waves. This guide outlines the mechanics, locations, and solutions to these puzzles.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
Restoring Morph Paintings involves placing the correct paintings on their designated pedestals. Examine the pedestal descriptions, locate the matching portrait, and use your Levitator to position the painting. The game usually automatically equips the Levitator; otherwise, press Tab or D-Pad Left to select it manually.
Currently, two such puzzles exist, integrated into the "Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise" and "Trials of Old" quests.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Shadows of the Past" questline in Wuthering Waves requires exploring Thorncrown's three towers, including Resounding Rise, which features a Morph Painting puzzle. Solve it as follows (using the central painting as a reference):
- Interchange the front-left and back-right paintings.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left pedestal.
- Move the painting behind the right-side chairs to the front-right pedestal.
Upon completion, a chest will appear, allowing quest progression.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Trials of Old" quest involves four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in eastern Thessaleo Fells. The Trial of Wisdom contains another Morph Painting puzzle. Arrange the paintings on the pedestals to create a narrative sequence from left to right. The solution is depicted in the image above.
A simple way to verify correct placement is to observe the painting frame; it illuminates upon successful placement. This visual cue provides an easy solution bypass.
