The halls of Xavier’s Institute are buzzing with excitement this May as Marvel Snap introduces a thrilling season themed around the New X-Men. This season is set to shake up your matches with a fresh class of recruits, led by the newest addition to the squad, Esme Cuckoo. This telepathic clone of Emma Frost brings her no-nonsense attitude and a powerful On Reveal effect that pulls a card from your deck, adjusts its cost to three with four Power, and hands it to you ready for action.
But Esme is just the beginning. Every week, a new Series 5 mutant will join the card pool, each adding unique twists to your strategy. Look out for Surge, Prodigy, Elixir, and Xorn, as they bring cost reductions, copycat tactics, and resurrection tricks to the table. Plus, Captain Carter’s seasonal pack makes a welcome return for those who missed it previously.
This month's new locations are equally dramatic. Pit of Exile challenges players to think lean and sequence smartly, as it shuts down big power plays. On the other hand, Genosha sets the stage for intense final turn showdowns by clearing all but your most expensive card at the last moment. These locations are sure to flip the script on your usual decks.
