Konami Commemorates Yu-Gi-Oh!'s 25th Anniversary
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, Konami is launching the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection on the Switch and Steam. This collection is a trip down memory lane, featuring a selection of classic Yu-Gi-Oh! games that will evoke fond memories for long-time fans.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will include the following titles:
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2
Konami had previously announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 as part of this collection. More games are slated to join the lineup, with a total of 10 classic Yu-Gi-Oh! titles expected to be available. The full roster will be revealed at a later date.
Originally released on Game Boy consoles, these early Yu-Gi-Oh! games lacked some modern features. However, Konami has enhanced the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection with contemporary conveniences. Players can now enjoy online battles and save/load features, with games that originally supported local co-op now offering online play. Additionally, quality-of-life improvements and customizable button layouts and background settings will enhance your gaming experience.
