Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 Leak Hints at Fall Guys-Style Platformer Event
A recent leak suggests a new, temporary event for Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 1.5, featuring a multiplayer platformer game mode reminiscent of Fall Guys. This exciting addition is expected to arrive alongside the already anticipated release of characters Astra Yao and Evelyn, slated for late January.
ZZZ Version 1.4, released in December, introduced two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle-focused modes. However, ZZZ is known for incorporating temporary, event-specific game modes offering diverse gameplay experiences. The current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event, featuring a tower defense mode, exemplifies this.
The leak, originating from community leaker Palito, showcases screenshots of stages strikingly similar to Fall Guys, strongly suggesting a multiplayer platformer experience within the upcoming "Grand Marcel" event. While the specifics remain unclear, the mode may be exclusive to this event, rather than a permanent addition. It's also uncertain whether players will control their usual characters or Bangboo within these stages. The event is anticipated to reward players with valuable Polychromes, in addition to the rumored extra free pulls for Version 1.5.
This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events. Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update in 2022 included a "Midnight Chronicle" event with similar Fall Guys-style stages, featuring chibi versions of existing characters. This precedent suggests ZZZ might adopt a similar approach, potentially using chibi characters or even the popular Bangboo.
Version 1.5, currently scheduled for January 22nd, will also introduce Astra Yao and Evelyn, fulfilling player anticipation. Previous leaks also hinted at a potential first character skin for Nicole and an Agent Story for Ellen.
