At the start, each player is dealt a hand of four cards, while the remaining deck is placed face down, forming the talon. Players take turns, aiming to match the suit or value of the top card on the discard pile. If unable to play, a player must draw one card from the talon and then pass their turn. Should the talon run dry, the discard pile, excluding its top card, is shuffled and flipped over to replenish the drawing stack, ensuring the game continues uninterrupted.
