Help children with visual impairments build confident walking skills through AI-powered lessons and sensor data analysis.
This app provides a curriculum of lessons created by Safe Toddles, a nonprofit dedicated to helping visually impaired children improve their mobility and spatial awareness. Learn more at https://www.safetoddles.org.
Each lesson is specifically designed around the use of the Pediatric Belt Cane, a mobility tool invented by Safe Toddles.
Users complete lessons, perform guided activities, and provide progress feedback through lesson-specific assessment questionnaires.
The app connects with a wearable IMU sensor attached to the Pediatric Belt Cane. This sensor streams movement data to the app, where an AI module analyzes it to estimate the student's developmental mobility age.
Using these ongoing developmental assessments, the app then recommends a personalized lesson plan tailored to the student's unique learning needs.
