This collaboration between DC and Penguin Random House promises to bring the iconic narrative to life in an innovative way. Adapted by Meghan Fitzmartin from the original work by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Frank Quitely, the audiobook features a new cover illustration by Quitely, showcasing the timeless appeal of the story.

In All-Star Superman, we follow a standalone tale where Superman, or Kal-El, faces his mortality after a perilous encounter with the sun. As he comes to terms with his impending death, Superman embarks on a journey reminiscent of the 12 Labors of Hercules, all while revealing his secret identity to Lois Lane. The story culminates in an epic confrontation with his arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor.

The All-Star Superman audiobook is scheduled for release on June 24, 2025, just one month before the theatrical release of James Gunn's Superman film.This isn't the first time All-Star Superman has been adapted; it was previously brought to the screen as a 2011 animated movie.
