Tute Cabrero is a widely enjoyed card game across South America.
Played by 3 to 5 players in a free-for-all format, Tute Cabrero involves no teams—it's every player for themselves.
The goal is simple: score the most points or the fewest ("go to more" or "go to less"). The player in second place loses. The game uses a 40-card Spanish deck.
Card rankings descend as follows: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), while 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 carry no point value.
The first card played in a trick sets the suit—players must follow if possible. Without cards of that suit, any card may be played. Trump cards always win tricks, but without trumps, the highest card of the lead suit takes the trick.
