FortiToken Mobile is a robust One Time Password (OTP) generator app designed for MultiFactor Authentication on mobile devices. Compliant with OATH standards, this app supports both event-based and time-based OTPs, offering a secure, user-friendly, and cost-effective solution for enhancing your authentication processes. To validate these OTPs, you'll need to integrate with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud.
Privacy and Control:
Your privacy is paramount with FortiToken Mobile. The app does not have the capability to alter your phone's settings, capture photos or videos, record audio, or transmit it. It also cannot access your emails or view your browsing history. FortiToken Mobile will only request your permission for notifications or setting changes. Importantly, it cannot remotely erase your device's data. The app's visibility is limited to checking your OS version for compatibility purposes. During the manual setup of FortiToken tokens, 3rd Party tokens, or Token Transfer, you might need to input sensitive data like your email address or Token seeds.
While FortiToken Mobile requires your explicit permission to modify settings, here are the permissions it needs for its operations:
- Camera Access: To scan QR codes for seamless token activation.
- TouchID/FaceID: For enhanced app security.
- Internet Access: To activate tokens and receive push notifications.
- "Send Feedback by Email": To automatically fill in the sender's email address.
- File Sharing: To facilitate the attachment of files for the "Send Feedback by Email" feature.
- Wake Lock: To keep your phone awake during database upgrades, preventing data corruption.
