After two months of nominations and voting, the winners of this year's Pocket Gamer Awards have been announced. While there were several expected names among the winners, a few unexpected victors emerged from the public-voted categories. This year has been one of the strongest on record for mobile games, and the public's votes reflect that sentiment.
Following a month-long nomination period, a month of voting, and a grand awards show, the Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners have finally been revealed. It has been an incredible journey, and the list of winners demonstrates the significant progress the industry has made since we first introduced these awards in 2010, with reader's choice leading just one category.
I've had the privilege of witnessing the entire process unfold since we opened nominations at the start of October, and it's been a resounding success. Not only did we receive a high volume of votes, but more importantly, this year marks a pivotal moment where we, as mobile gamers, can confidently say that our winners list is a true reflection of the broader gaming industry.
The winners span from some of the largest companies in the world, including NetEase with Sony's IP Destiny, Tencent-backed SuperCell, and Scopely, to long-standing publishers like Konami and Bandai Namco. Additionally, indie favorites such as Rusty Lake and Emoak have also been recognized. This year has also been exceptional for ports, mirroring the trend of PC games being adapted from mobile classics. We've seen numerous high-quality experiences make the transition in the opposite direction, which is reflected in the three outstanding ports that have won awards.
Without further ado, here are the winners:
