Square Enix Makes Foamstars Free-to-Play Starting October 4th
No More PS+ Subscription Needed
In a recent support page update, Square Enix announced that Foamstars will transition to a free-to-play model. This also removes the requirement for a PlayStation Plus subscription. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, the game will be available for free download and play beginning October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC.
A "Legacy Gift" awaits players who purchased Foamstars before the price change. This exclusive in-game reward pack contains:
- 12 unique Bubble Beastie skins
- 1 special Slide Board design
- 1 exclusive title: "Legacy"
